Refund and Returns Policy

Every copy of VICES is made to be savored. If yours isn’t right, here’s exactly how we’ll make it right.

Overview

  • Return window: 21 days from the date of purchase
  • Condition: Unread, with no creases, markings, or damage
  • Return shipping: Paid by the customer, unless your copy arrived damaged
  • Refunds: Issued to your original payment method within 5 business days of approval
  • Sale items: Returnable on the same terms as full-price items
  • Shipping area: United States only

 

Returns

You may return your copy of VICES within 21 days of your purchase date for a refund. To be eligible, the book must be unread and in the same condition you received it, with no creases, writing, markings, or other damage.

Sale and discounted items are returnable under the same terms as full-price items.

How to Start a Return

  1. Email info@vicesbook.com within 21 days of purchase. Include your order number and the reason for your return.
  2. We’ll reply with return instructions.
  3. Ship the book to the address below.

Please contact us before sending anything. Returns mailed without instructions may take longer to process.

Because this is a PO box, please ship your return with USPS. UPS and FedEx can’t deliver to PO boxes. We recommend a trackable shipping method, since we can only refund returns that reach us.

Shipping Costs

For standard returns, you’re responsible for the cost of return shipping. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

If the return is due to our error, such as a damaged or incorrect item, we’ll cover return shipping and refund your original shipping charges.

Damaged Copies

We pack every book with care, but transit isn’t always kind. If your copy arrives damaged:

  1. Within 5 days of delivery, email info@vicesbook.com with your order number and photos of the damaged book and its packaging.
  2. Once we’ve reviewed your photos, we’ll send you a prepaid return shipping label.
  3. After we receive the damaged copy, you’ll choose between a replacement copy or a full refund, including original shipping.

The unread-condition requirement doesn’t apply to copies that arrived damaged. Damage reported more than 5 days after delivery falls under our standard return terms.

Refunds

When your return arrives, we’ll inspect it and email you to confirm whether your refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 business days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take a few additional days for the credit to appear on your statement.

If a returned book doesn’t meet the condition requirements, we’ll contact you by email. We can’t issue a refund in that case, but we can mail the book back to you.
